Joulon design and manufactures spacer spools in all sizes and pressure ratings that are compliant to API 6A and API 16A. Spacer spools are suitable for wellhead extension, BOP installation, choke & kill manifold spools and production manifold.

End connections are flanged, studded, threaded, clamp hubs or other end connectors (OEC). Some customers use names like “riser spool” or “surface riser spools”. Customer should specify the length accordingly to stack height. Each spool is pressure, drift and dimensionally tested before shipment.

Body and end connections are manufactured from low alloy steel like AISI 4130 or 8630. Application of CRA (AISI 316L or Nickel alloy 625) enhance the corrosion resistance ability of ring groove, thus enhance the product life. Lifting pad-eye or lifting lug is well capable of handling the weight of the spool. Spools are either single piece forged or welded construction, which depends on criticality and customer requirement.

When “minimum height or length” is specified, Joulon spacer spools have corresponding appropriate height (or length) with adequate clearance to accommodate studs, nuts, wrenches, and clamps as applicable.
