Technical Field Support

Technical Field Support (TFS) services are customized to each client based on their support requirements and their global or local footprint. The TFS agreement can support a variety of rigs, including Jack-ups, Drill ships, Semis, and land rigs, depending on the needs of the customer.


A responsibility matrix and process flow diagrams are customized to establish the level of involvement and support based on the desires and needs of our customers. Joulon employs experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for each discipline (mechanical, electrical, well control, drilling systems, project and maintenance systems) as part of the team to handle all day-to-day technical and maintenance needs and advising on a case-by-case basis in project planning, engineering, upgrades, inventory optimization, including other technical demands.


The philosophy of predictive and condition-based maintenance has been developed based on years of experience in the industry, and it has been implemented for customers seamlessly. This includes redefining Preventive Maintenance and Work Order cycles in the maintenance system. This has been achieved through meticulous planning and implementation in phases for the entire fleet, to avoid any unwarranted incidents or downtime. The dedicated TFS team’s continuous 24/7 involvement has helped increase the cumulative uptime of customers to whom Technical Field Support services have been provided.


Joulon’s technical and operational expertise, along with their innovative approach to maintenance, has allowed them to plan and execute Special Periodic Surveys (SPS) and UWILDS efficiently, resulting in reduced out of service periods and increased revenue.
