Abdou’s career has spanned 25 years, in which he has spent 18 years at Schlumberger and most recently 7 years at Parker Drilling. He brings a combination of service industry rigor and rig industry knowledge within the oil and gas sector. Abdou has held a variety of senior management roles, the last two being Vice President-Parker Drilling and Vice President-Schlumberger.

Mat most recently served as Senior Business Development Manager for Parker Drilling’s Arctic and North America Offshore Geomarket, focusing on opportunities for expansion in Alaska, Canada, and Russia. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and an M.B.A. from Rice University in Houston, Texas.
